Some good news to come out of this is some major landowners, such as the National Trust, Forestry England, the Lake District National Park and Natural Resources Wales, have withdrawn permission for hunts to cross their land. Hurrah! 'Bout bloody time!
Sadly, the Government is silent on calls for it to scrap the ludicrous legal loophole which allows "trail hunting". Everyone knew these hunting bastards would use that as a smokescreen to continue with their disgusting, barbaric, sadistic and bloody hobby.
If you can afford to hire a QC to defend you I don't think you're on the breadline. No, Hankinson is doubtless laughing at the paltry £1,000 fine dished out to him at Westminster Magistrates Court - just an evening's winnings at Bridge.
I still thought a letter was called for:
Dear Mr Hankinson,
Regarding your recent conviction for encouraging and assisting people to evade the ban on fox hunting, you are a pathetic, sad and appalling excuse for a human being.
